The Board of Directors for Bike Maryland is pleased to announce the selection of Steve Miller as interim executive director.
Steve is a former fighter pilot and 32+ year Air Force veteran who has successfully led diverse, multi-million dollar military and business organizations. He was a former appointee to the Maryland Governor’s Advisory Council on Physical Fitness and currently servers on the Board of Directors for non-profit Bicycle Advocates of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. As a certified League Cycling Instructor, Steve was recognized as Bike Maryland’s 2015 Volunteer of the Year for his work in bringing the Bike-MINDED Safety program to more than 5,000 children through summer Recreation and Parks programs and elementary public school physical education classes in Anne Arundel County. In 2014, he became a “2,000 miler” by completing the Appalacian Trail, and in 2015 he bicycled the entire C&O, Greater Allegheny Passage and Erie Canal trails on his surly Long Haul Trucker. Steve brings wide ranging management experiences, passion and energy to help Bike Maryland advance its goal of making Maryland more bikeable.
