Another Tragic Crash and Fatality on our Roads

By - April 29, 2021

On April 10th, Mikael Crier age 11 was struck by the driver of a car while riding his bike at the intersection of RT 175 and Tamar Drive in Columbia, MD.  Sadly, and tragically, we have since learned that Mikael succumbed to the injuries suffered in the crash and passed away on April 20th, 2021.

Howard County Terps Football and Cheer on their Facebook page describe Mikael “Big” Crier as “Big” because “he had the biggest smile and played much bigger than his size.”  We are all saddened to learn of his passing and our deepest condolences go out to the family of Mikael “Big” Crier and his loved ones.

We at Bike Maryland will continue our work through advocacy and legislation to make biking safer for all who live in Maryland.
