7th Annual Six Pillars Century

Character Counts Mid Shore is hosting its 7th Annual Six Pillars Century on Sat May 2, 2015

Cycle the scenic back roads of picturesque Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Dorchester County, MD.  Choice of 4 flat routes; 11 mile, 37 mile, the famous 56 mile Ironman Eagleman course or our beautiful 100 mile century course that takes you through quaint townships, along the Chesapeake Bay and back through serene woodlands. Begin your day at Great Marsh Park for a complimentary fresco breakfast in the shores of the Choptank River.  Show-n-go start allows you the option of having a daybreak start or another cup of coffee.  Along the course are fully stocked rest stops manned by friendly volunteers. Upon your return to the park, you are treated to a Picnic in the Park with burgers, hotdogs, salads and all the fixings.

Special event tee shirt for first 1,000 to register! Proceeds benefit Character Counts Mid Shore’s character programs that reach over 8,100 students at NO cost to the schools or taxpayers. Six Pillars Century is a win-win for all.

Event details and schedule

In Park Registration and bib number/map pick up – Friday, May 1 from 3PM to 7PM

Parking map on website – www.6pillarscentury.org – NO vehicles will be allowed in the park on Saturday, May 2.

Show-n-go start at 7 AM for 37 mile/56 mile and 100 mile cyclists. Please review rest stop open/close times on cue sheets. Breakfast from 6:00 to 10:15 AM. Picnic in the Park begins at 11AM and ends at 4:30 PM.
