The end of their 2014 Epic Series, this two day event showcases mountain biking in Montgomery County and once again offers courses for all skill levels.  Cut your teeth on the Patapsco Epic?  The MoCo Epic has a metric century to test your mettle.

The Kid’s Ride – Bring the kids to enjoy a special ride geared just for them! MORE and Trails for Youth partner to lead a well organized kids ride option that will run between 5-7 miles. Parents are not required to participant but are welcome to join at no charge if desired.

The REI 25 Miler – Enjoy tons of flowing single track as you tour the scenic Schaeffer Farms into Hoyles Mills. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to jump over logs and skim over roots as you cross into the Black Hill. Next, you’ll head to Hoyles Mill again to begin the home stretch back to the Soccerplex where the post-ride party is beckoning!

The Southern Epic – This exciting course starts in Schaeffer Farm before winding into Seneca Ridge Trail. From there you’ll hit up Clopper Lake into Muddy Branch before heading over to the C&O Canal that connects with Seneca Bluffs. Then, it’s just a short jot back in Schaeffer before hitting the post-ride festivities in the Soccerplex. With about 95% dirt track, this course is sure to be full of adventure!

The Northern Epic – Here’s the route of choice for the brave at heart! This course runs through Hoyles Mill into the Black Hill before crossing into the fun single track offerings of Little Bennett and Lower Magruder. Next up you’ll tour the Seneca Greenway into Clopper Lake before turning back to the Seneca Ridge Trail and Schaeffer. Overall this route is about 80% singletrack with occasional paved country roads between parks.

The MoCo Metric Century – Think you have what it takes to do the full metric century? This extended course follows the 50 mile route up to Clopper Lake and then branches off to Muddy Branch, the C&O Canal, and Seneca Bluffs before finally wrapping up in Schaeffer and the Soccorplex. Be prepared for a 7-8 hour adventure you’ll never forget!
