Rides of Silence

Annapolis: 

Gather Time: 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 18th 2016Start/Finish Location: Germantown Elementary School, 200 Windell Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401

Level/Pace: Easy/10 mph

Baltimore:

We will meet at the War Memorial Park near City Hall on Fayette Street at 6:30 in order to start at 7:00pm.

Please try to wear something WHITE, I will have armbands to wear.
1. Participants will ride no faster than 12 mph.
2. The ride will be conducted in silence.
3. Riders must wear helmets.
4. Please have lights on your bikes.
5. Try to wear white shirts or plan on having an Armband
6. Posters encouraged.
7. There is no charge to attend and participate in
the ride.
8. You will be asked to sign a liability waiver.

Frederick:

Where:  Monocacy Middle School, 8009 O’Possumtown Pike, Frederick, MD  21702

Ride of Silence Pace-ALL 10 miles. The Frederick Pedalers will participate in the national Ride of Silence by leading a ride in Frederick. Please see the Ride of Silence website for details about this ride. Join us as we raise cycling awareness during Bike Safety Month and honor those cyclists who have been injured or killed on our nation’s roads. This ride will proceed in silent memorial at no more than 12 mph through the streets of downtown Frederick obeying all laws and traffic controls to demonstrate cyclists intent to safely share the road with other vehicles. Please arrive and be ready for pre-ride instructions at 6:30 PM as we will try to depart promptly at 6:45 PM. Ride Leader – Bill Smith

Hagerstown:

The ride will start from Fairground Park on t east side of Hagerstown on May 18th at 7 pm. It is a great ride around the city of Hagerstown escorted by the city police. It is a great way to honor the men and women that have been severely injured and or lost their live while cycling. Please come and join us!

Olney:

Please join the Olney Ride of Silence to honor cyclists who have been injured or killed. The ride will begin/end in the Harris Teeter parking lot in the Fair Hill Shopping Center. We will gather at 6:30 PM to prepare for the ride; make announcements and go over safety procedures at 6:45 PM, and roll out promptly at 7:00 PM. Rockville: meet at 6:30 outside the Montgomery County Library in Rockville, 21 Maryland Ave, and begin at 7 pm and travel at a pace of 10-12 mph with an escort from the City of Rockville Police Department.
