The Maryland Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory committee will be holding their next meeting on Friday, June 17, from 10am-12:00 noon in Williamsport, MD at the C&O Canal National Historic Park facility (Trolley Barn) at the Cushwa Basin. This will be the first time this committee has ever held a meeting in western MD. Trail tourism and the economic impact of C&O visitors on the region (and how this can be duplicated in other parts of the state) will be discussed by different presenters including superintendent Kevin Brandt. For those of you already involved with the C&O Canal Trust, this will also be a chance to meet the different state agency officials working on these issue for the state of Maryland.
An informal bike ride on the tow-path will follow the meeting.
