Harford Hills Bike Adventure

Date: Saturday, April 25
Time: All Day

The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR), a non-profit organization that provides services to families and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will host the third annual Harford Hills Bike Adventure on Saturday, April 25, 2015. This year’s ride is starting and ending at a new location: the Towson University in Northeastern Maryland building on Thomas Run Road. The event is a fundraiser with all proceeds benefitting The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region.

Participants can choose between an intermediate level 30-mile loop or a more advanced 62-mile metric century loop, both of which offer a safe, paved ride through the scenic hills of Harford County. The new courses were mapped out in response to requests from riders in last year’s event and recommendations made by area cycling groups. Water and restroom stations will be set up along the courses at 10 mile intervals and a sag wagon will provide on-course support. Check-in and registration for both courses opens at 7:30 a.m. and both rides will begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. All riders are required to wear helmets, and must complete their selected course by 2:00 p.m.

In addition to the ride, pre- and post-event activities include complimentary bike adjustments courtesy of The Bike Shop of Bel Air and live entertainment. Refreshments will be provided for all registered riders.

Early registration is $35 per rider and will increase to $45 after March 16, 2015. Advance registration is accessible by visiting www.active.com and searching for Harford Hills Bike Adventure. All participants will receive an event shirt.

Event sponsorships are still being accepted. To learn more about The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region’s third annual Harford Hills Bike Adventure, please visit www.arcncr.org. To become an event sponsor, please contact Julie Chmura at 410.836.7177 or development@arcncr.org.
