Bike to the Beach for Autism

Date: Friday, July 31, through Sunday, August 2
Time: 12:29pm - 1:29pm

Bike to the Beach Baltimore is a fully supported 100-mile Charity Cycling event from Baltimore, MD to Dewey Beach, DE offered on the first weekend of August to educate our community about the benefits of cycling and to raise awareness and funding for autism.

The charity ride goes from Federal Hill in Baltimore to Annapolis, MD; over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge (in buses and moving trucks); and through the beautiful farmland of Eastern, MD and the Delaware shore. It ends on the beautiful shores of Dewey Beach where we host finish line festivities for our riders, volunteers, and their friends and families. The organizers encourage riders to stay the weekend in Dewey Beach to enjoy the beach and attend our annual Saturday Crab Feast – a celebration of the ride, cause, and community.

The ride is fully supported with rest stops (spaced an average of 15-miles apart), bike mechanics, Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles, and a route marked with turn-signs and road markings. The organizers provide all of the food, water, and ride support needed to get from Baltimore, MD to Dewey Beach, DE. Riders even receive a custom Bike to the Beach jersey — all you have to bring to the starting line is your road-ready bike, bike shorts, and helmet!

Bike to the Beach will provide the support, structure, and community you need to ride 100-miles, support extraordinary autism organizations and charities, and meet any other goal that you may have – whether it is to become a cyclist, lose weight, get healthier, take on a fitness challenge, make new friends, or raise funds for autism.

Bike to the Beach will host FREE training events and various social events in the months leading up to the Charity event, and provide riders the  fundraising support to reach the $500.00 fundraising minimum associated with the ride.

Join to have fun, undertake a challenge, make friends, and bike to a beach destination, all while supporting the millions affected by autism, worldwide.
