MOUNTAIN MARYLAND RENEWABLE ENERGY RIDE – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER, 24, 2016

Come bike in beautiful Western Maryland and Southwestern Pennsylvania and raise money for some great causes!!

The 1st Annual Mountain Maryland Renewable Energy Ride is scheduled for Saturday, September 24, 2016. All proceeds will benefit Allegany County Habitat for Humanity and scholarships for Frostburg University students with an interest in Energy and Renewable Energy Studies.

Join us at the historic Frostburg Depot, in the quaint town of Frostburg, Maryland. We have 2 great ride options! Our first ride is a 14-mile Family Fun ride on the Great Allegany Passage trail that takes riders from the Frostburg Trailhead across the Mason-Dixon Line, through Big Savage Tunnel and to the Eastern Continental Divide. Our second ride is a trail/road combination for the cyclist looking for a little more challenge!  This ride also begins at the Frostburg Trailhead, but continues on past the Continental Divide to the Deal Trailhead. From there the course ventures out onto the winding country roads of Western Maryland. You will go by several wind farms and through the FSU campus.
After party for all riders with food catered by Shift, a farm to table Eatery and music by the Chinese Bandits! Pick up your official ride tee shirt included with your registration!

Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.

Trail/road ride starts at 9:00 a.m., Trail ride starts at 11:00 a.m.

All rides include rest stops and SAG support.  Helmets are mandatory for all participants.
