Many of us in and outside Maryland were touched by John and Lynne's passion and consideration. They were extraordinary cyclists, tallying 10,000 miles a year for many years and through rain and shine.
When not on the bike they were passionate about civic responsibility, being involved with both the Rockville Bicycle Advisory Committee (Bike Rockville) and the Montgomery County Bicycle Advisory Group.
While riding together on their tandem bicycle in Calvert County on a beautiful, warm, sunny Halloween 2015 they were hit and killed by a drunk driver.
To honor their memories and continue their work for ever improving bicycling in Maryland, their family has set up the John Fauerby and Lynne Rosenbusch Memorial Advocacy Fund. Money raised for this fund will support Bike Maryland's advocacy work in and out of Annapolis.
