Registration is closed for this event
Bike Maryland in presents the 2023 Bike Maryland Symposium

The Bike Maryland Symposium is a day in Annapolis where you can network with like-minded Maryland cyclists and advocates and your Maryland legislator to discuss Maryland cycling issues that matter to you

Bike Maryland, after a hiatus due to COVID and other factors, is bringing back the Bike Symposium during the 2023 Maryland Legislative Session.

We will gather at the Annapolis City Hall, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, a six minute walk to the Maryland State House.  We will drink coffee, eat pastries, listen to State officials, review our advocacy plans for the 2023 session, and hear from the Bike Maryland leadership about the revitalized organization.

Symposium attendees will then walk to the State House and meet with Senators, Delegates and their staff to talk about our advocacy asks.  An optional lunch will then take place at Market House at 1:00pm

Please plan on coming to Annapolis on February 8.

Parking

Downtown Annapolis is crowded during the Maryland legislative session and the nearby Hillman Garage is closed for renovation. We recommend parking outside the downtown area and then bike in with your own bike, with the new Annapolis bike/scooter share, or use one of the shuttles to get downtown

There is parking at the USNA Stadium and also several locations on outer West St,  all with shuttle access.  Please allow adequate time to park and make your way downtown to City Hall at 160 Duke of Gloucester St. You’ll find more details about these options at https://accessannapolis.com/visiting-downtown/

Lunch

We encourage you to join us for an optional lunch gathering following the legislative meeting

Lunch will be at 1:00pm at Market House 25 Market Space,City Dock, Annapolis. From State Circle, walk down Cornhill St. to Market House.

There will be a seating area reserved for Bike Maryland attendees and you can select, order and pay for your food and drink as you arrive.   This gathering will provide time to network with other attendees and to debrief on the legislative meetings.
